Deutsche Telekom acquires Polish fiber companies for 1 billion euros
Deutsche Telekom has reached an agreement with Macquarie Asset Management to acquire the Polish fiber-optic companies Fiberhost and Inea. The deal, valued at approximately 1.0 billion euros, is intended to strengthen T-Mobile Polska’s fixed-line business and expand its convergence offerings in mobile and broadband services.
In the United States, T-Mobile US reported the reduction of 4,671 positions during the first half of 2026 as part of its ‘Workforce Transformation 2025-2026’ initiative. The company stated this move is aimed at modernizing its US operations.
Financially, Deutsche Telekom reported an organic revenue increase of 3.3 percent to 29.9 billion euros and an organic adjusted EBITDA AL increase of 7.3 percent to 11.8 billion euros. The group also raised its free cash flow forecast to approximately 20.0 billion euros. In Germany, the MagentaTV service gained over one million new customers.
