Deutsche Telekom to acquire Polish fiber providers for €1 billion

Deutsche Telekom has confirmed the acquisition of Polish fiber optic providers Fiberhost and Inea from Macquarie Asset Management for approximately one billion euros. The deal aims to transform T-Mobile Polska from a mobile-centric provider into an integrated full-service operator by combining mobile and broadband services.

Through this acquisition, Deutsche Telekom gains access to infrastructure serving approximately 1.4 million households via Fiberhost and over 300,000 customers via Inea. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of 2026.

In addition to the expansion, Deutsche Telekom reported strong financial performance, raising its free cash flow forecast for the current year to approximately 20 billion euros. This follows a second quarter where net revenue rose to 29.9 billion euros, representing 3.3 percent organic growth.
