Deutsches Museum Munich offers reduced admission for seniors

The Deutsches Museum in Munich offers reduced admission rates for seniors, though specific conditions apply. Since late January 2026, visitors aged 65 or older, or those with a valid pension ID, can pay 9 euros for the main building instead of the standard 16 euros.

This discount is strictly limited to weekdays (Monday through Friday). On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, seniors are required to pay the full regular admission price. The reduction represents a savings of approximately 44 percent.

Similar senior pricing is available at the museum’s other locations, including the Verkehrszentrum and Flugwerft Schleißheim, where the price is 6 euros instead of 9 euros. However, no discounts are offered on annual passes.

Admission policies vary across other German institutions. For instance, the State Museums of Berlin do not include seniors in their 50 percent discount eligibility, and Fotografiska Berlin charges a specific senior rate of 10 euros.
