Deutschlandfahrt 2026 historical truck tour begins in Wörth
The Deutschlandfahrt 2026, a major European event for historical commercial vehicles, has commenced. The tour began at the Mercedes-Benz Trucks plant in Wörth to commemorate 130 years of truck development.
Originally established in 1987 by transporter Robert Fehrenkötter, the event is now organized by his son, Joachim Fehrenkötter, in collaboration with ETM Verlag. The biennial tour aims to preserve and showcase the cultural heritage of rolling commercial vehicles.
This year's route spans 1,086 kilometers, traveling through Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands, before concluding in Weeze, North Rhine-Westphalia. The event brings together collectors, companies, and enthusiasts to experience the evolution of trucks across more than a century of manufacturing.
