DEUTZ AG completes capital increase as DNO ASA revises Capricorn Energy offer
DEUTZ AG has successfully completed a capital increase through an accelerated bookbuilding private placement. The company issued 26,381,080 new shares at a price of €11.70 per share, generating gross proceeds of approximately €179 million. This transaction increases the company's share capital by 10% to 167,901,915 no-par value shares. The proceeds are intended to optimize the company's capital structure and enhance financial flexibility for future growth.
In a separate development, Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO ASA has announced a revised all-cash offer for Capricorn Energy plc. The boards of DNO, DNO Bidco AS, and Capricorn Energy plc have agreed to terms that provide Capricorn shareholders with the full acquisition value in cash. This revised offer is intended to provide greater certainty of value compared to the original proposal, as it removes reliance on the declaration and payment of a permitted dividend prior to the effective date.
