Dev-İş announces warning strike at Kıbrıs Türk Petrolleri

The Revolutionary Workers' Federations (Dev-İş) has announced a two-hour warning strike at Kıbrıs Türk Petrolleri Ltd. due to ongoing labor disputes and unresolved worker rights issues.

The union alleges that management has avoided renewing the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement (TİS), citing recent administrative changes and new manager appointments. Dev-İş further claims that eight qualified employees have been left without assigned tasks for over four months following changes in airport operations. The union describes this practice as a form of “psychological harassment (mobbing)” intended to devalue workers and force resignations.

According to the federation, while these employees remain idle, there are significant personnel shortages in security, qualified staff, and clerical roles, which threatens to disrupt production and services. Dev-İş stated the strike is a final call for the employer to return to the negotiation table and act with reason.
