Deva Cassel prepares for lead role in ‘L’Amore Immortale’

Actress Deva Cassel is preparing for her lead role in the French feature film ‘L’Amore Immortale’ (Le Fantôme de l’Opéra), which is scheduled to be presented at the Rome Film Festival on October 17. To portray Anastasia, a young Romanian dancer, Cassel underwent three months of intensive training, practicing dance six days a week from morning until evening.

Cassel described the experience as a way to coordinate mind and body, aiding her personal growth and self-awareness. Despite feeling intimidated by the scale of the project, she noted that facing such fears serves as a stimulus to perform better.

The daughter of actors Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, Deva Cassel emphasized her desire to establish her own identity separate from her parents' cinematic legacies. She described her mother as an inspiration of elegance and authenticity, while noting her father's supportive approach to her career.
