Deva Cassel premieres Phantom of the Opera in Rome

Deva Cassel, daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, attended the Rome Film Festival for the premiere of “L'amore immortale” (Le Fantôme de l'Opéra). The film is a modern, romantic fantasy reimagining of Gaston Leroux’s classic story, directed by Alexandre Castagnetti.

In the film, Cassel plays Anastasia Marescu, a Romanian dancer at the Paris Opéra Garnier. To prepare for the role, the 22-year-old actress underwent three months of intensive daily ballet training, practicing five to six times a week. The cast also includes Romain Duris and Julien de Saint-Jean.

Cassel, who has established a career in fashion with brands such as Dior and Dolce & Gabbana, is increasingly stepping into the spotlight as an actress. She is noted for her multilingual abilities, speaking five languages including French, Italian, English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
