Deva hosts community workshops and cultural camps for children

Various community and cultural initiatives have been organized for children in the Deva region of Romania.

In Deva, GAL Urban ‘Cetate’ Deva and the Deva Social Assistance Directorate hosted a creative workshop titled ‘Preparing for School’ for 20 children from vulnerable families. The event, which included children aged 5 to 11, focused on creative activities such as drawing, singing, and decorating school supplies to build confidence and social skills. Participants received school essentials, including notebooks, maps, and stationery.

Additionally, the Cultural Union of Ruthenians in Romania organized a traditional summer camp at the Căprioara Complex near Deva. The camp brought together children from various Ruthenian communities across Romania, including branches from Arad, Suceava, Maramureș, and Hunedoara. The program included educational activities, excursions to Orșova and Hațeg, and cultural lessons designed to preserve Ruthenian identity and traditions.
