Develia begins construction of Bracka Vita in Katowice

Develia has commenced the first stage of the Bracka Vita development on the site of the former Baildon Steelworks in Katowice, Poland. Designed by Maciej Franta and the Franta Group, the project aims to transform the post-industrial area into an open micro-district combining residential, service, and recreational functions.

The first phase involves the construction of a 17-story building containing 132 apartments and two commercial units. Ultimately, the development will consist of seven buildings providing over 900 apartments and approximately 20 service premises, such as shops and gastronomy with outdoor seating.

A key feature of the project is the integration of the Rawa river into the urban space, with approximately three hectares of public green spaces and walking paths planned along the riverbank. The architectural design intends to honor the site's industrial heritage by incorporating elements like bricks and lamps from the former steelworks into the modern aesthetic. Apartment prices start at 9,900 PLN per square meter, with keys for the first phase expected to be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2028.
