Devendra Kumar Dubey arrested for job fraud in Gwalior

Devendra Kumar Dubey has been arrested in Kanpur for allegedly using forged documents to secure a high-ranking position at an automobile company in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Dubey joined Shritulja Bhawani Automobiles Pvt Ltd as Group Vice President in August 2025, claiming prior experience with the Landmark Group and a monthly salary of approximately ₹2.8 lakh. Based on these credentials, the company eventually promoted him to Group CEO (After Sales).

The deception was discovered during a routine verification process conducted by the human resources department as part of a full-and-final settlement following Dubey's resignation in May 2026. Upon contacting the Landmark Group, the company learned that Dubey had never been employed there. Investigations revealed that both the experience certificate and the bank statements provided were fabricated. The Gwalior Crime Branch subsequently filed a case involving fraud and the use of forged documents.
