Capcom Announces Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition for Nintendo Switch 2

At Nintendo Direct on 9 June 2026, Nintendo and Capcom announced Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. The game is scheduled to launch on 23 June 2026.

The edition introduces technical upgrades with Capcom's RE Engine, delivering photorealistic graphics and new gameplay. Players can control three characters—Nero, Dante and a new character V—each with a distinct combat style. The story follows a demonic tree spreading through Red Grave City, with Nero aided by weapons‑craftsman Nico and a range of Devil Breaker arms.

The title will be exclusive to Switch 2 at launch, joining Nintendo's slate of upcoming releases.
