Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2
Capcom released the Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 on 23 June 2026. The digital version is available immediately with an early‑adopter discount through 7 July 2026, while the physical copy can be pre‑ordered and will ship on 28 August 2026. The port adds the Vergil playable character DLC, new Devil Breaker arms for Nero, the Cavaliere R weapon for Dante, an EX colour pack, battle tracks and extra visual and audio content. Capcom says the game runs at a stable 60 frames‑per‑second in both handheld and docked modes, preserving the series’ fast‑paced combat.
Reviewers note that the Switch 2 version demonstrates the console’s capability to handle demanding titles, delivering smooth performance and solid graphics. However, the edition omits some features present in the Special Edition on other platforms, and Vergil’s mode is treated as a modest extra rather than a fully integrated expansion. Overall, the port is regarded as a competent and polished entry point for newcomers and a technically impressive showcase for the new handheld.
