Devin Haney and Liam Paro set for welterweight unification in San Francisco

Devin Haney is expected to face Liam Paro in a welterweight unification bout on December 19 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The matchup, which features the WBO and IBF titleholders, is reported to be the opening fight under Haney’s new agreement with DAZN.

Haney aims to become a two-time undisputed champion, a goal he expressed on social media. While Haney previously held undisputed status at lightweight, his pursuit of welterweight titles seeks to address criticisms regarding his previous championship reigns. A victory over Paro would secure two major belts for the American fighter.
