Devin Lloyd listed as day-to-day with calf injury

Carolina Panthers linebacker Devin Lloyd is dealing with a calf injury after a standout performance in the team’s 34-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Lloyd, who was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week following his performance—which included nine tackles, a sack, and two interceptions—was a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Despite the injury, there are no immediate indications of a long-term issue. Lloyd stated he is ‘not too concerned’ about the calf, and head coach Dave Canales described the player as day-to-day. The Panthers will monitor his status as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Lloyd, a former first-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars, joined the Panthers in free agency to bolster their defense. His recent success follows a breakout season in Jacksonville where he earned second-team AP All-Pro honors.
