Devolver Digital to delist from London AIM and return to private ownership

Indie game publisher Devolver Digital announced a proposal to withdraw its shares from the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The plan will be put to a shareholder vote at a general meeting on 8 September, requiring at least 75 % approval. If passed, the delisting would take effect on 16 September 2026 and include a tender‑offer of up to US$5 million to eligible shareholders.

The company says the volatile video‑games market, frequent layoffs and the pressure of semi‑annual earnings expectations have distorted its share price, which has fallen more than 95 % since the November 2021 IPO that valued the firm at about US$950 million. Devolver expects the move to save roughly US$1.6 million per year in public‑company costs and to allow management to focus on long‑term health rather than short‑term market demands. The current market capitalisation is around £39 million (≈US$53 million).
