Devon Daddies complete first all-male medley English Channel swim

The ‘Devon Daddies’, an all-male swimming team from Devon, have become the first all-male medley team to complete a relay crossing of the English Channel. The team completed the swim in 13 hours and six minutes.

Using a medley format consisting of backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and front crawl, the swimmers—Nik Haynes, Olly White, Ross Szender, and Adam Tapp—navigated difficult conditions including stiff winds, strong tides, and jellyfish swarms. The crossing was delayed by a month due to poor weather before finally taking place on September 23.

In addition to the sporting achievement, the group raised more than £7,500 for Devon Hospicecare.
