Devon Sawa reflects on career milestones and iconic film roles

Actor Devon Sawa has discussed his career reflections, specifically regarding his iconic roles in the 1995 film ‘Casper’ and the 2000 horror movie ‘Final Destination’.

Sawa admitted to previously struggling with being recognized primarily for his role in ‘Casper’, noting that he once felt a desire to distance himself from the character to be taken seriously as a thespian. However, he has since learned to embrace the role, acknowledging it as the foundation of his career.

Regarding ‘Final Destination’, Sawa joked that his involvement in the film might protect him from similar accidents in real life, stating, “I think that I’m safe. I don’t think it could happen. It would be too perfect.” He also recalled the visceral reaction of audiences during the film's initial screening, which helped the cast realize the project's unique impact.

Sawa is currently appearing in the series ‘Coven Academy’, playing the character Mr. Peter Cole.
