Devotees carry massive Hanuman-themed Kanwar in Kasganj

A unique religious procession drew significant attention in Kasganj as approximately 40 devotees from Naua village in Firozabad carried a massive Kanwar designed as Lord Hanuman’s tail. The tail, which contained holy Ganga water, measured between 131 and 251 meters in length.

The participants dressed in various religious roles to enhance the theme. Bobby Ningua portrayed Hanuman, while others appeared as Lord Shiva, Jamvant, and a group of Vanaras (monkeys) who helped carry the long tail. After performing rituals and bathing at Lahara Ganga Ghat in Soronji, the group began their journey toward Firozabad, passing through Soronji, Prahladpur, Goraha, and Bhitona.

Local residents gathered along the route to welcome the devotees, and the procession became a major point of interest for onlookers due to its scale and unique religious presentation.
