Mexico celebrates San Judas Tadeo festivities across multiple regions

Catholic communities across various Mexican regions are holding religious festivities in honor of San Judas Tadeo, the patron saint of difficult causes. The celebrations, which culminate on October 28, include masses, processions, and community gatherings.

In El Marqués, Querétaro, authorities have deployed an interinstitutional security operation involving over 170 personnel from civil protection, public security, and mobility departments to ensure safety for the thousands of visitors expected at the La Noria chapel. Similar security measures and street closures have been announced in Hermosillo and La Cruz to manage crowds and traffic.

Other regional celebrations include:

• Ciudad Juárez: An estimated 20,000 devotees are expected for four days of festivities, featuring religious images, flowers, and traditional truck driver caravans. • Monclova: The Santiago Apóstol parish is hosting a triduo of prayers, a community breakfast, and an artistic festival. • Ramos Arizpe: The Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís has organized a program including a procession, traditional music, and a popular fair with food and fireworks. • Alicantes: Local authorities are preparing for three scheduled masses, including a solemn service accompanied by mariachi music.
