Dewa United secured a 1-0 victory against Persik Kediri in their opening match of the BRI Liga 1 season. The winning goal was scored by Rafael Struick in the 15th minute of the match held at Brawijaya Stadium.

Following the win, Dewa United coach Osmar Loss noted that while the away victory was difficult due to home-field pressure, it provides momentum for their upcoming match against Bhayangkara FC.
