Johnathan Pereira opened the scoring for Dewa United in the 14th minute. Borneo FC responded shortly after the second half began, with Ikhsan Nul Zikrak equalizing in the 49th minute. The match remained tied until stoppage time, when Denilson Junior scored twice—first from a penalty in the 91st minute and again in the 96th minute—to seal the win.

Dewa United coach Osmar Loss expressed satisfaction with the team's discipline and ability to secure points away from home, despite missing midfielder Ricky Kambuaya due to injury. Borneo FC coach Mauro Jeronimo noted the team's commitment to winning despite the loss, which dropped the hosts to 10th place in the standings.
