Dexter and The Moonrocks achieve chart success with debut album

Texas-based alternative rock band Dexter and The Moonrocks has seen success with their debut album, ‘Friends That I Don’t Like’. The single ‘Freakin’ Out’ reached number 13 on the Canadian Mainstream Rock charts for the week of October 17, 2026, marking its 25th week on the chart.

The band, which describes its style as ‘Western Space Grunge’, blends rock and southern roots. Their debut album, released via Severance Records and Big Loud Rock, features collaborations such as ‘Why Don’t You Say So’ with Avery Anna and ‘12 Steps’ with Treaty Oak Revival.

Following performances at the Strummingbird Festival in Australia and support slots in Melbourne and Sydney, the group has scheduled upcoming tour dates in the United States, including shows in Austin, Texas, in November 2026 and Boston in December 2026.
