Dexter And The Moonrocks release debut album ‘Friends That I Don’t Like’

Texas alternative rock quartet Dexter And The Moonrocks have released their debut album, ‘Friends That I Don’t Like’. Released via Severance Records and Big Loud Rock, the 14-track project features a blend of guitar-heavy rock, grunge, and country influences, a style the band describes as ‘Western Space Grunge’.

The album follows the significant success of the single ‘Freakin’ Out’, which reached number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the band an RIAA Platinum certification. The new record includes collaborations such as ‘Why Don’t You Say So’ featuring Avery Anna, and ‘12 Steps’ featuring Treaty Oak Revival.

Drawing from their West Texas roots, the band recorded much of the album between May and July. The release marks a major milestone for the group following a period of rapid growth that included a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
