Dexter Lumis discusses second WWE release and future prospects

Former WWE wrestler Dexter Lumis has discussed his recent departure from the company, noting that this second release feels “more final” than his initial exit in 2022.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Lumis compared his current situation to his previous release, which occurred during a period of significant transition within NXT involving leadership shifts and health issues for Triple H. He suggested that the current environment under TKO ownership focuses more heavily on the bottom line, which may impact opportunities for developing talent.

Lumis, a former member of the Wyatt Sicks stable, has already begun working on the independent circuit, appearing at an Atomic Legacy Wrestling event. While he has not closed the door on a potential return to WWE, he emphasized the necessity of proving himself through strong performances elsewhere first.
