Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 trailer reveals new killers and release date

Paramount+ has released the official trailer for the second season of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’, scheduled to premiere on October 30, 2026. The new season picks up three years after the events of the first season, following Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) as he navigates life in New York City.

The narrative places Dexter between two primary antagonists: a notorious killer with a long history and a younger, brutal newcomer. Specifically, Brian Cox joins the cast as ‘The New York Ripper’ (Don Frampt), while Dan Stevens portrays ‘The Five Borough Killer’ (Lucas/Owen Stark). Additionally, Gabriel Luna appears as ‘The Sleepy-Eyed Strangler’ (Ray Ballad).

Alongside these threats, the season explores personal themes including Dexter’s midlife crisis and his evolving relationship with his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), who is depicted as pursuing his own path of justice. The ensemble cast includes returning actors Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar, with new series regulars including Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson.
