DEYADOL management faces criticism over debt and price hikes

The municipal opposition party ‘Prooptiki’ has issued a response to Mr. Vrocharidis regarding the management of the water utility DEYADOL. The opposition alleges that delays in holding necessary meetings, driven by the mayor's fear of price increases, have ultimately resulted in higher water bills for consumers.

Key allegations include that DEYADOL owes €5,200,000 to the Public Power Corporation (DEI). The opposition further criticizes the local administration for mismanagement, claiming that the municipal council has been operating illegally for months and that the salaries of elected officials have doubled during the current term.
