Dez Bryant cited for assault after Texas police encounter

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was cited for misdemeanor assault by contact following a confrontation in Southlake, Texas, on Sunday, October 25. The incident began after Bryant accused two motorists of reckless driving and street racing after they allegedly cut him off in traffic.

The dispute escalated in a restaurant parking lot when Bryant confronted the drivers. Bryant claims one of the men, identified in some reports as 19-year-old Noah Reyes, threatened to shoot him. Bryant admitted to knocking a cellphone out of the man's hand after the individual began recording the interaction.

When police arrived, they detained Bryant and two other men. Video footage provided to OutKick shows Bryant lying face-down in handcuffs while an officer pointed a firearm toward him. Bryant expressed distress that his young daughters witnessed the encounter. While the other men were briefly detained, Bryant received a citation and is scheduled to appear in Southlake Municipal Court by November 20.
