DFCCIL launches rapid parcel service linking NCR and Gujarat

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has launched the Joint Parcel Product–Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. This new service connects logistics hubs in the National Capital Region (NCR) and northern India with industrial centers in Gujarat.

Operations began on August 18, 2026, with the first service running from New Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to New Ancheli in Gujarat, covering approximately 1,200 km. The return service is scheduled to start on August 20. The transit time is approximately 23 hours, with intermediate loading and unloading available at New Motidau.

This service expands rail-based parcel reach beyond Ahmedabad, allowing for efficient transport of goods destined for Surat and Mumbai. The model is designed to support time-sensitive shipments for the e-commerce and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors by integrating rail transportation with road-based first- and last-mile delivery. Customers can manage bookings through the Virtual Aggregation Platform on the Freight Business Development portal.
