dfcu Bank donates UGX 30 million to Archbishop Kiwanuka Empowerment Centre

dfcu Bank has contributed UGX 30 million to support the completion of the Archbishop Kiwanuka Empowerment Centre in Kitovu. The donation was announced during a fundraising dinner at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

The centre, inspired by the legacy of Archbishop Joseph Kiwanuka, is designed to facilitate skills development, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and community engagement. Once finished, the facility aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and help individuals build practical capabilities to create economic opportunities within their communities.

Margaret Karume, Executive Director and Chief Credit Officer at dfcu Bank, stated that the contribution aligns with the bank’s long-standing commitment to investing in people and strengthening institutions that drive Uganda’s development.
