Édgar Vivar to undergo spinal surgery and formalizes will

Mexican actor Édgar Vivar, internationally recognized for his roles as Señor Barriga and Ñoño in ‘El Chavo del 8’, is preparing for spinal surgery to correct a curvature in his spine. The 77-year-old actor stated that the procedure is necessary due to age-related issues and will require approximately six months of recovery, during which he will be unable to perform professional activities.

In anticipation of the surgery, Vivar has formalized his will and organized the administration of his assets and properties. He expressed confidence in his medical team and noted that he has been managing discomfort through medication and electrical stimulation treatments. The surgery is expected to take place in June 2027.
