FIFA World Cup 2026 expands streaming coverage, tightens broadcast rules

A range of broadcasters and streaming platforms are preparing extensive coverage for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Argentina‑focused DGO Stream will broadcast from Miami with personalities such as Pampita and Andy Kusnetzoff, partnering with DSPORTS and TyC Sports. Panama’s TVN Media announced a 24‑hour, multi‑platform agenda for its TVN, TVMAX and TVN Pass services. In Spain, MARCA will deliver continuous 24/7 audiovisual coverage, including live highlights, power rankings and interactive features.

Sports streaming service DAZN will offer the tournament in HD‑HDR video and Dolby 5.1 audio, multiview capability for up to four simultaneous matches, and an interactive FanZone with live chats, quizzes and a “Play, Bench, Sell” game. Original DAZN programming such as “Buenos Días América”, “Trending Mundial” and “La Dazoneta” will provide analysis, interviews and fan‑generated content throughout the 104 matches.

FIFA introduced a “freemium” model, streaming the first ten minutes of every match free on YouTube to attract younger viewers, while directing users to the official broadcasters for full coverage. At the same time, FIFA tightened audiovisual rights, prohibiting bars, hotels, restaurants and individual creators from retransmitting or sharing live match footage without a licence and warning of possible fines.
