Dhaka and other regions of Bangladesh forecast rain and thunderstorms

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and thunderstorms across various regions of the country, including Dhaka, for Sunday, September 13.

In Dhaka, the sky is expected to remain partly to fully cloudy with possibilities of rain or thunderstorms. Winds in the capital are predicted to blow from the south or southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 km/h, and daytime temperatures may decrease slightly. The minimum temperature recorded in Dhaka was 27.4 degrees Celsius with 92 percent humidity.

Other regions, including Rangpur, Dinajpur, and Faridpur, may experience thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 45 to 60 km/h. Consequently, river ports in these areas have been advised to maintain a signal number one warning. The meteorological department noted that a low-pressure system is currently located in southern Chhattisgarh and adjacent areas, while the monsoon axis remains active over Bangladesh.
