Bangladesh dairy companies raise liquid milk prices by 10 Taka

Private dairy companies in Bangladesh have increased the price of packaged liquid milk by approximately 10 Taka per litre. This price adjustment follows a similar move by the state-owned Milk Vita in early August.

Retail prices for one litre of packaged milk now range between 110 and 115 Taka, while half-litre packets are priced between 55 and 60 Taka. Major private brands including Aarong Dairy, Pran, Farm Fresh (Akij Dairy), and Milk Vita are participating in this price shift.

Producers attribute the increase to rising operational costs, including higher transportation expenses, increased wages for milk collectors, higher costs for packaging materials, and rising prices for cattle feed, gas, and electricity.
