Dhaka Inner Circular Ring Road construction to be accelerated

Prime Minister Tarek Rahman has directed officials to accelerate the construction of the Inner Circular Ring Road to alleviate traffic congestion in Dhaka. During a review meeting at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Local Government Division to work in coordination to expedite the project.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to identify and remove obstacles hindering implementation, ensure effective coordination between relevant agencies, and establish a realistic timeline for completion. The goal is to ensure rapid and visible progress on the infrastructure.

Ongoing construction segments include the Gabtoli-Babubazar and Postogola-Demra sections, with the project also covering areas such as Rayerbazar, Hazaribagh, and Kamrangirchar.
