Dhaka University 54th convocation to be held in January

The 54th convocation of Dhaka University is expected to take place in January. Prime Minister Tarek Rahman has accepted an invitation from Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam to attend the event as the chief guest.

During a meeting at the Secretariat, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the Prime Minister on the university's 20-year academic development plan, ongoing large-scale development projects, and campus security. He also requested special support for research in artificial intelligence, robotics, biology, and biotechnology, as well as assistance in strengthening industry-academia relationships.

The Prime Minister pledged support for the university's development and research, emphasizing the need for collective effort to improve Dhaka University's international rankings. He also highlighted the importance of involving alumni more actively in the institution's progress.
