Dhaka University student Tofazzal Hossain death anniversary

The second anniversary of the death of Tofazzal Hossain, who was killed at the University of Dhaka's Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, was observed on September 18. Hossain, 32, died after being detained and beaten on suspicion of theft on the university campus.

A murder case was filed at Shahbagh Police Station, and following an initial investigation, 21 individuals were named in the charge sheet. The case was subsequently transferred to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) for further inquiry at the request of the university administration. The family of the deceased continues to demand swift justice and exemplary punishment for those involved.
