Dhanush's film 'OM' first look unveiled, slated for worldwide release on Oct 16 2026

The first look and teaser for Dhanush’s upcoming pan‑India film, officially titled **OM Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood**, have been released. The makers described it as “Presenting the FIRST STRIKE of #OM. His arrival spells pure fire.” The trailer shows Dhanush in a rugged, rogue avatar, rescuing a group of men from armed assailants and wielding an axe and gun.

The action‑drama is directed by **Rajkumar Periasamy**, produced by Wunderbar Films (with Dhanush as producer), and features a cast that includes **Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela**. Music is composed by **Sai Abhyankkar**. Production began with a traditional mahurat puja in February 2026, and the film will open worldwide on **16 October 2026** in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
