Dhar tractor-trolley accident injures 20 Kanwar pilgrims

Approximately 20 Kanwar pilgrims were injured after a tractor-trolley carrying them fell off a bridge in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The incident occurred near Kadmal village within the Nisarpur police outpost area under the Kukshi police station.

According to police reports, the accident happened while the devotees were traveling toward the Narmada River near Old Chikhalda to collect holy water during the final Monday of the Sawan month. Preliminary findings suggest the driver lost control after the vehicle's steering failed while crossing the bridge.

About 30 pilgrims were on board at the time of the accident. Local residents and police conducted rescue operations, transporting the injured to hospitals. Medical officials at Barwani District Hospital confirmed that 20 people were admitted, with six to seven patients in serious condition suffering from head, back, hand, and abdominal injuries.
