Dharmendra and Hema Malini: Details of their Bollywood romance

Bollywood actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, who married in 1980, have a romantic history rooted in their film collaborations. Hema Malini reportedly developed feelings for Dharmendra during the filming of the 1975 song ‘Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana’ from the movie Pratigya, after being impressed by his carefree and traditional dancing style.

During the production of the blockbuster film Sholay, Dharmendra reportedly sought more time with Malini. To facilitate private moments on set, he allegedly coordinated with crew members and spot boys to arrange scene retakes.
