Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurates Rs 62 crore projects in Angul

Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects worth Rs 62 crore in Talcher, Angul, on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

During the ceremony at Kadam Padia, Pradhan called for a comprehensive development plan for Talcher, noting its importance as a major power source for India. He emphasized that priority should be given to infrastructure, roads, education, healthcare, and agriculture. Pradhan also highlighted the need to ensure local residents benefit from regional industries and to prioritize employment for local youth.

Addressing environmental concerns, Pradhan urged the local administration to address pollution and environmental degradation, while encouraging citizens to plant more trees. Future plans mentioned include the establishment of an art college and a zoo at Rani park.
