Dharmendra Pradhan leads cleanliness drive and environmental review in Sambalpur

Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan led a large-scale cleanliness drive in Sambalpur, Odisha, as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2026’ campaign under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. The initiative involved nearly 100,000 volunteers and sanitation workers across more than 500 locations throughout the district, including areas under the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation.

During the campaign, Pradhan emphasized the importance of environmental protection and expressed concern regarding the extensive use of single-use plastics. He advocated for making cleanliness an integral part of daily life and a collective responsibility to protect human society and property.

In a separate review meeting regarding corporate social responsibility (CSR), Pradhan called on local industries and mining companies to prioritize environmental conservation, pollution control, and public health alongside industrial growth. He urged these entities to support local community development, including employment generation, skill development, and infrastructure improvements such as street lighting and road upgrades on State Highway 10.
