DHBW students develop new concepts for Bio-Markthalle
Students from the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Ravensburg have developed new concepts to enhance the Bio-Markthalle at the Oberschwabenschau trade fair. Through the “Marktplatz der Zukunft” project, students specializing in agricultural economics and event management participated in workshops to create ideas for improving the hall's attractiveness and its long-term impact.
To implement these concepts, the Ministry for Rural Areas, Agriculture and Home Affairs Baden-Württemberg has approved nearly €20,000 in funding. The Bio-Markthalle is organized by the organic model regions of Biberach, Bodensee, and Ravensburg, alongside the Ravensburger Veranstaltungsgesellschaft.
The initiative aims to increase the visibility of regional organic businesses, particularly by subsidizing stall costs for up to eight smaller companies per region. The hall serves as a platform for producers to present their products and stories while providing visitors with information on organic farming and opportunities to sample regional goods.
