Dhiraagu and SEAD partner to promote ocean literacy in the Maldives

Dhiraagu has entered into a partnership with the non-governmental organization SEAD to promote ocean literacy among youth in Hulhumalé, K. Kaashidhoo, and B. Goidhoo. The initiative aims to deepen understanding of marine ecosystems and the importance of environmental protection.

As part of the collaboration, Dhiraagu will provide connectivity support to SEAD’s Urban Hub in Hulhumalé and its various island outreach activities. The program combines expert-led educational sessions with marine biologists with hands-on activities, including snorkeling, surfing, and kitesurfing. Participants will study topics such as seagrass, wetlands, freshwater ecosystems, and ecosystem restoration through citizen science and marine data collection.
