Dhirendra Ojha granted one-year extension as PIB Principal Director General

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the re-employment of senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Dhirendra Ojha as the Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau (PIB). The extension is on a contract basis for one year, effective from October 1, 2026, until September 30, 2027, extending beyond his scheduled superannuation.

In a separate order, the ACC cleared the temporary upgradation of a Director General level post to the Principal Director General level as a personal measure for senior officer Pragya Paliwal Gaur.
