DHL and Absa Group partner to expand GoTrade across Africa

DHL and Absa Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand the DHL GoTrade programme across Sub-Saharan Africa. The strategic partnership aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by combining DHL’s logistics expertise with Absa Group’s banking, digital, and financial services.

The initiative is designed to provide SMEs with the tools, training, and services necessary to facilitate cross-border trade, e-commerce growth, and sustainable business development. South African Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Zuko Godlimpi noted that the partnership addresses critical constraints to regional growth and helps strengthen intra-African trade.

The agreement was signed by Hennie Heymans, CEO of DHL Express Sub-Saharan Africa, and Faisal Mkhize, Managing Executive for Business Development at Absa Group.
