DHL expands GoTrade program to support SME international trade
DHL is expanding its GoTrade program through strategic partnerships to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accessing international markets. In Sub-Saharan Africa, DHL has partnered with Standard Bank, MTN, and the South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) to address barriers such as limited financing, digital gaps, and export readiness.
In the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone has collaborated with DHL Express UAE. This initiative provides DSBH members with the ‘Trade and Grow Beyond Borders’ curriculum, which covers customs procedures, shipping documentation, and logistics planning. Members of the Dubai South hub will also receive preferential shipping rates to assist in scaling their operations globally.
Since its 2021 launch, the GoTrade program has supported over 24,000 SMEs worldwide. DHL has also announced plans to invest 300 million euros across Africa by 2030 to foster sustainable business growth and trade participation.
