DHL Express invests 177 million euros in China logistics expansion
DHL Express has invested 177 million euros to expand its ‘Super Gateway’ terminal at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in China. This expansion has tripled the facility's operational capacity, allowing it to handle approximately 900 tons of shipments daily to support growing e-commerce, cross-border trade, and express delivery needs.
In addition to the infrastructure investment, the company has launched a new daily cargo flight using a Boeing 767 wide-body aircraft. The route connects Shanghai to Brussels via Bangkok and Bahrain, adding up to 50 tons of daily capacity. This new service strengthens logistics links between China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, specifically benefiting high-value and heavyweight express shipments.
