DHL Group acquires myflexbox to expand parcel station network
DHL Group has completed the full acquisition of the Salzburg-based company myflexbox. As part of a strategic expansion, Deutsche Post is merging its DeinFach subsidiary with myflexbox, with the combined services to be branded under the myflexbox name.
This merger aims to create the largest provider-independent parcel station network in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The initiative allows multiple different parcel services to utilize the same lockers for deliveries and returns, which is intended to save space for municipalities, retailers, and housing companies.
Currently, myflexbox operates approximately 3,000 stations across Germany and Austria. These will complement DHL’s existing network of roughly 19,000 stations. Deutsche Post has set an ambitious target to expand the total automated station network in Germany to approximately 50,000 units by 2030, with at least half of those being provider-independent myflexbox stations.
