DHL Stormers announce 56-man squad for 2026/27 season

DHL Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson has announced a 56-man squad for the 2026/27 season, covering both the Vodacom URC and Investec Champions Cup campaigns. Led by captain Ruhan Nel, the roster features 17 internationals, including 15 Springboks and four players from the recent Junior Springboks championship-winning side.

The squad maintains significant continuity, with 18 players remaining from the club’s 2021/22 Vodacom URC title-winning team. Notable returns to Cape Town include Siya Kolisi, Wilco Louw, and Cheslin Kolbe. Additionally, players Paul de Villiers and Zachary Porthen have recently earned their first Springbok caps following strong performances for the club.

The Stormers will begin their season with a Vodacom URC tour to face Connacht in Galway and Edinburgh. This will be followed by a series of home matches at DHL Stadium, including a derby against the Hollywoodbets Sharks on 10 October, an Investec Champions Cup opener against the Bristol Bears, and URC fixtures against Scarlets and Ulster.
